• I am not a children’s clothes hoarder. It simply cannot be ME that won’t get rid of itty bitty baby clothes that the girls have both long outgrown. It can’t be me that won’t part with those tiny gowns, onesies, dresses outfits. Because, really, I am the one that likes to consign after the second child has gotten their wear out of clothes. So, how could it possibly be me that has stored more than three bins of tiny baby clothes in our attic?!  (I won’t mention how many bins of various other sizes are up there or soon to be up there. NOT ME!!)
• Speaking of clothing, I did not trash our guest room this morning in the name of organizing said clothes, right? Because how can you junk up a room and call it organizational?! That couldn’t have been what I did.
• I wasn’t a touch disappointed this morning when I weighed-in for Spark People. For goodness sakes, the scale moved down 2.8lbs from last Monday, so how could I have been disappointed about THAT?! I am one that believes in progress being good, so surely I didn’t get just a touch of disappointment this morning even though I am making progress.
• Last week when our girls were having their portraits taken, I did not dance and shake my booty like a fool to get them to smile for the camera. Because my girls don’t cheese up for cameras, do they?! I didn’t have to act like a complete goofball to get their real smiles to come out, did  I?! Noooo…NOT ME!
• I didn’t forget to pack a lunch for Mickey to take to work today. Because I said I would pack him a lunch AND send in some healthy snacks for him too. So, I couldn’t possibly have gotten busy this morning and let THAT slip my mind, right??
• I didn’t have to eat one of the cupcakes that I made for Macey’s un-birthday celebration at school. They were looked so good and were so tempting, but I know I didn’t eat one, did I?!

That’s it for this week. I probably have more that I didn’t do, but my brain is pondering too many things right now – like the end of Kindergarten (on Friday) and summer activities.

Not Me! Monday

This past weekend, I did not clean out our pantry only to discover SO much that had gone past its expiration date. Certainly I did not throw out several garbage bags of “stuff” including old food, old cups, etc. Not me!

Yesterday morning I did not spend time plucking gray hairs either. I mean, it can’t even BE me that has gray hair in places, right?!

Last night, I know I didn’t giggle like a school girl at the Amazing Race contestants running in their skivvies. Nor, did I crack up at seeing Phil Keoghan in his.

Surely it wasn’t me that spent the morning with an organization consultant working JUST on our play room. We couldn’t have let our play room get that overstock and disorganized. No way. Not us. That would mean that we didn’t send several bags to the trash and several more to be donated. Because, realistically, how could we have had ALL.THAT.STUFF?!

I didn’t just eat Cocoa Puffs after eating a nice healthy turkey sandwich for lunch. Noooooooo way.

I’m sure I could go on and on because I always have things I surely didn’t do. But, I’ll stop for now. So, how about y’all? Come on, confess in the name of fun!!

Not Me! Monday…

I almost forgot that it’s Not Me Monday. Following in the tradition of MckMama, I will post some raw confessions. All in the name of fun, right?!

On Friday night, I did not over-indulge at The Melting Pot. And, I certainly did not keep dipping into the (delicious!) chocolate fondue when I knew that I was already full enough. That couldn’t have been me that waddled around CostCo after dinner feeling that I might explode at any given minute. Noooooo way. 

Yesterday, I didn’t forget to put lotion on my poor wintry legs when I wore shorts to the zoo. Surely I did not walk around with ashy legs the whole afternoon, right? Who does THAT?!

Could it have been ME that let all housework go today? Certainly not. I couldn’t possibly have overlooked the clothes, toys and other clutter in the name of enjoying a beautiful spring day, could I?!

And, lastly, it can’t be ME that is secretly thrilled that my darling, sweet husband is making dinner plans for us tonight so that I don’t have to cook. Yes, we have a house FULL of groceries, so it really can’t make me THAT happy to go out tonight. Can it?!

Not Me! Monday…

Today I did not just about lose my mind when I discovered (via Macey telling me frantically) that Mariana had dumped a lot of fish food into Macey’s betta fish’s tank. I did not feel the top of my head hinging on like a boiling teapot as I knew I was going to have to clean that tank again. I just cleaned the darn thing last week. And, I did not wait the allotted amount of time before putting the fish back in the tank. (Okay, the part? It’s true. I didn’t. He lived.)

Early today I did not feed Mariana slices of deli turkey and a cookie and call it lunch because we were pressed for time after a doctor visit. Not me.

I also didn’t buy a package of mini Moon Pies and eat one on the way home from the grocery store today because I was starving. And, I certainly didn’t eat another one after I finished my sensible Smart One for lunch. Who would do THAT?! Not me. 

I didn’t pull up beside a police car today and hope that he wouldn’t get behind me and see that our tags need to be replaced. EEP!! (We’re late. Mickey’s working on it. Diligently, I might add.)

And, I know I didn’t just make three mini loaves of banana nut bread knowing I’m trying to watch what I eat these days. That could NOT have been me.
