A Bit About Me

Welcome to my blog, y’all! I am trying to get better about keeping up entries and updating more often.

As for my intro, here goes:

I’m Kelly. I’ve been married to my amazing husband Mickey since October 2001. I was born and raised in Southwest Georgia and Mickey was born and raised in Michigan, so the fact that we are together certainly stems from Divine Intervention. We live in metro Atlanta and are proud parents to two of the most beautiful, smart and awesome little girls on the face of the planet. :) Mickey is a webmaster at our church and I am blessed to be a stay at home mom. We are United Methodist as far as denomination, but first and foremost we are Christians.

Some of my all-time favorite Bible passages are these:

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.
You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart - Jeremiah 29:11-13

I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

It is right for me to feel this way about all of you, since I have you in my heart; for whether I am in chains or defending and confirming the gospel, all of you share in God’s grace with me. God can testify how I long for all of you with the affection of Christ Jesus.

And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God. Philippians 1:3-11

I began this blog in hopes of sharing my faith journey and growing this way. It’s also a place for me to talk about daily life, review the books I read and just have a place to collect all sorts of thoughts, ideas, etc. I look forward to seeing where this takes me and hopefully I’ll meet new friends in fellowship along the way.

Please feel free to leave comments ANY time. I always love getting them and will do my best to respond back. Also, if anyone would like to link me, please feel free. Just let me know to reciprocate the link, okay?

God bless,
Kelly <><
